Inner Peace

I've been thinking lately about living a peaceful life. I am always questioning myself. Questioning my feelings and my thoughts. When I started reading more personal development/ minimalist/ zen blogs I realized that my questioning is my self awareness. I think I am a pretty calm person. I don't like to fight and I believe conflict to be very unnecessary. So when I find myself in these situations I try to find a way out.

I read this article on Zen Habits and it really resonated with me. It helped make that crazy feeling inside of me subside. I guess that's what he means about being tied up in knots.

It really is an amazing article.

Giving Without Expectation

I read an article about giving without expectation. A good thing to be conscious of.

I wrote in my journal last week about it. I guess it's just something I've been thinking about lately. The article just really resonated with me. Remembering how my dad used to quote JFK, "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."

"Giving without expectation will elevate your personal awareness of others.

When you expose your limiting beliefs to your conscious awareness, then you can let them go."

Here is another article from Tiny Buddha. Good read.

Bonobo's Black Sands

Their 2010 album is touching. Delivering nothing less than what I expected. Sweet rhythms, drums and vocals. My heart melts.

Andreya Triana .... I can't get enough. What a beautiful soul voice. Definitely right to the soul.
